I designed my blog to have more of a formal tone. The font I chose is elegant and different from the typical fonts like Times New Roman. I stuck with the color white for my font because it matched really well with the background and still kind of popped out. I feel like this font gives my blog more of a mediterranean look which is also what I was going for because I love the mediterranean culture.
The background I chose for my blog is the Suleymaniye Mosque in Turkey, one of my favorite countries I have been to. I chose this background because it describes my culture and me since I am a Muslim and Mosques are the places of worship for Muslims. When my viewers visit my blog, they see something that they don't see everyday. This picture also shows them that I like to travel and see different parts of the world.
I spent several days in Istanbul last summer, and would have to concur with you. It is one of my favorite cities. :-) I've been inside this Mosque, and it is lovely. :-)
